About the Firm.

Established Focus

Capital markets, SEBI-registered intermediaries, and the technical CA work most firms don't venture near.

Labadiya & Mehta is a partner-led firm of Chartered Accountants based in Ahmedabad, advising clients across the financial services sector - stock brokers, depository participants, investment advisers, research analysts, listed companies, and IPO-bound enterprises. Our work sits at the intersection of accounting discipline and securities regulation, where the standard expected is the regulator's, not the market's.

Our story

The firm was founded on a deliberate proposition: that capital markets compliance, audit, and advisory in India deserved a Chartered Accountancy practice as serious about the subject as the regulator itself. Too many financial intermediaries had been advised by generalist firms that treated SEBI compliance as a sideline. We set out to build something different a practice where capital markets work is not a vertical, but the centre of gravity.

That orientation runs through every engagement. Our partners and team are immersed in the daily rhythm of SEBI circulars, exchange notices, depository advisories, and inspection cycles. We act for brokers and depository participants registered with NSE, BSE, MCX, NSDL, and CDSL. We advise listed companies on compliance, statutory audit, and corporate governance. We work with promoters preparing for IPO, founders structuring their next round of capital, and businesses that simply need a firm that understands what matters.

What makes the practice distinct is the combination of regulatory perspective and technical depth. One of our founding partners served at NSE's Ahmedabad Regional Office before entering practice an experience that shapes how we read circulars, anticipate examiner questions, and prepare clients for inspection. The result is a firm that sees compliance not as paperwork, but as the architecture of a credible business.

Today, Labadiya & Mehta serves clients across India from its Ahmedabad office, supported by a tight team of qualified Chartered Accountants. Engagements are partner-led from start to finish. We grow deliberately, take on work we can do well, and decline what we cannot. The standard, in every case, is the same: the work should hold up to the scrutiny of the regulator on the day it arrives.

"
In capital markets, the regulator is not your audience they are your auditor. Every file we produce is built on that understanding.

How we practice

Four principles · one standard
i.

Partner-led, always

Every engagement is owned by a partner from the first conversation to final sign-off. Clients work directly with the partner responsible not a layered chain of associates. This is how trust is built and judgment is exercised.

ii.

Regulator-grade rigour

We prepare every audit file, every compliance submission, and every advisory opinion to the standard of the regulator who may review it. That discipline runs through documentation, review, and signing without exception.

iii.

Sector depth, not breadth

We have chosen to go deep in capital markets and regulated financial services rather than spread thin across unrelated sectors. The result is a firm that understands the rules, the regulator, and the industry at a level generalist practices rarely match.

iv.

Long-term relationships

We measure success by how long clients stay with us through their compliance cycles, their fund raises, their listings, and their growth. The relationships we are proudest of are the ones now well into their second decade.
